RECIPE:
Marinate 1 pound of minced Organic beef/lamb with coriander powder, cumin powder, 3 finely chopped green chillies, turmeric, salt and ginger-garlic paste.
Mix thoroughly with hands, cover and let sit for atleast 4 hours.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Add around 3/4th cup of fried onions (highly recommend homemade ones, rather than store bought – finely slice 1 medium red onion and add to hot oil, enough for the onions to float in ‘em. When onions begin changing color, shut the stove and begin taking the onions out, once they begin turning a light golden brown).
Take one slice of plain bread, wet it and crush it and add to the meat. Add a tsp of oil to the mix.
Beat 2 eggs in another bowl and half of the egg mixture to the minced meat.
Take an oven proof flat container and smear with 1tsp oil, so that the mixture doesn’t stick to the bottom of baking dish. Evenly spread the beef mixture into this oven proof dish, trying to flatten it as much as possible, especially on the sides. Pour the remaining egg mixture on top. You could also top with some fried onions, if they’re extra. Place the dish in the pre heated oven for 20-25 minutes, till the egg coating on the top has turned into a golden color. Check by placing a toothpick in the center of the dish if the meat is properly cooked.
Cut into bite sized pieces n enjoy with roti 😊
